Based on our experience and education, the following concepts are effective in improving the water safety skills in children. Participants in semi-private swim lessons offered year-round in our indoor pool retain their skills and are not having to "relearn" swimming every summer. This works well with family schedules.
Because fearful participants seem to feel more comfortable when they have flotation devices available, "noodles" will be on hand for the swimmers to practice with. Additionally, sinking toys will be available for underwater practice.
To emphasize our "fun learning" techniques we keep our INDOOR pool at a warm temperature to create feelings of comfort for our young swimmers. The "play" reinforces learning and has proved to keep kids interested in swimming! Swim lessons at Swim Reedsburg are taught at a four-to-one ratio to emphasize an individualized approach and frequently use game activities involving a variety of fun learning materials. By limiting the size of the class students receive plenty of individual attention, encouraging them to learn faster.
We have begun a Trimester schedule. Please follow this link to receive more information regarding the current Trimester as well as the Winter/Spring and Summer Trimesters.
