Stingrays are swimmers of the ocean and the Swim Reedsburg Stingrays are students who like to swim fast while having fun. The goal of competitive swimming is to be the fastest to swim a given distance. The goal of the Swim Reedsburg Stingrays is to become champions with Championship behavior. Swim Reedsburg offers a team opportunity and aims to be a club that strives to improve the health and well-being of our swimmers in a friendly, professional, and safe atmosphere.

Swim Team focuses on the four racing strokes (free, back, breast, and fly), starts and turns, and stroke proficiency and technique. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards with out stopping (Level 3 or higher).

The Swim Reedsburg Stingrays is made up of two teams: the Home Team and the Elite Team. The Elite Team is for those swimmers who are serious about competition swimming and have the extra commitment and intensity. The Elite Team competes in USA Swimming sanctioned meets throughout the state. The Home Team is for those swimmers who like competition swimming, but prefer not to have the pressure and commitment of the Elite Team. The Home Team has meets against area swim teams such as Mauston, Plain, and Portage.

Home team is going to be split into 3 separate practices this season to give participants more room in the water while swimming and the ability to receive more pointers from the coaches. Those that are veterans to the team or are 7 years and older will meet on Monday and Wednesdays from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. Home Team will meet on Monday and Wednesday from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. Elite Team will meet on Monday, Wednesday and every Friday when there is NOT a meet the next day from 3:45pm to 5:45pm. Stroke and Turn Clinic will meeton Sundays from 4pm to 5pm OR on Mondays from 5:45pm to 6:45pm. Contact Bonnie at Swim Reedsburg to find out which Team would be best for your child. The Swim Reedsburg bus will pick up participants who are in need of a ride at the Webb Middle School each day after school. However, there is limited seating on the bus so contact Swim Reedsburg ASAP if you are interested in taking advantage of this service. Swim Team Info
